The River Tay 2012 Official Opening of the Salmon Fishing Season - Monday 16th January 2012.
The Official Opening of the River Tay for Salmon fishing in 2012 will take place at the Hilton Dunkeld
House Hotel Ali McCoist, the Glasgow Rangers manager and former Scottish International footballer has been invited to lead the parade to the river and make the.First Cast.
Members of the Rotary Club are invited to join members of Perth Chamber of Commerce, Tay Salmon Fishery Board and local groups at 0830 to 0930 within the hotel for a Business Breakfast. Thereafter you are free to join local fishers and members of the local community in a Parade down to the river. The breakfast costs £10, with £5 of that sum going towards the Tay Foundation (for charitable purposes) and Dunkeld and Birnam Angling Association Junior Development.
In addition there will be rolls, tea, coffee and a dram served in the Garden Room area.
The parade to the river from the west side of the hotel will commence shortly after 0930.

Rotary Club of Perth - Charity Fayre - Saturday 25th August 2012
The Clubs Annual Charity Fayre is to again to be styled on a Farmers Market, with around 30 stalls provided by our club 'Free of Charge' to Local Charities, allowing them to raise funds for their own particular organisations.
If you are a local organisation, book your stand ASAP to avoid disapointment.
